jbj28 you can get 150w hqi. and was planing to mod for lighting in the future. i am looking for the best base tank to start with. other nano all in one would be considered.

are you running a separte fuge? if not the uv is what killes the rubber so life could be shorter than 20 years at 24 hr a day of light exposer.

imho #1 is your best choice for that tank. if you up grade the tank in the future you have an excellent start for your lighting system. just get good bulbs because you will be overdriving them to about 80w.

typically ikea furniture uses low grade particleboard. most commercial aquarium stands are made with high grade particle board. in time the lower grade wood will deflect witch could lead to tank failure. you might want to take this into consideration when reinforcing the stand. hope this helps.

ice cap ballasts can run no, ho,vho,and pc in any combination. eg. 1 40w 48" tube 1 39w 36" tube 1 110w 48" tube 1 20w 24"tube 20+39+110+20= 209w you only need one ballast. i am currently running 2 vho's and 2 no on mine. Fluorescent Ballasts
