They should be past meta now and large enough to take nhbbs and crushed powder.
What type of crushed powder?
NIce!! Thanks for posting.
They almost look like twins
Great News. Got 2 living out of the last hatch, And just had a hatch of over 100 last night got most of them out of the DT, Feeding the Rotifers, and will post pics soon...
You might actually want to use Reed Mariculture's RotiferDiet or RotiGrow product line to culture rotifer, it's alot more efficient and cost-effective comparing to using DT. (just make sure you dilute it enough, so you don't overdose)
i think you need more coffee!
I noticed you say you start sorting at about one o'clock... but when do you finish? Your fans all want to know!
Are you telling me you have another full time job? You need to breed fish full time.
99% of aquaculture is cleaning. :columbo:
My Saturdays ('day off' from my full time job) go like this....
- Sleep in late past 5:30am and wake up at 7:00am.
- Brush hair & teeth then make a strong pot of coffee.
- Make 1st cup of coffee
- 7:10-7:40 am - everyday morning chores;
- check rotifer density in fry tanks and add more if necessary
- feed phyto to all rotifer cultures
- feed young juvenile clowns in hatching system (10 tanks)
- feed growout system (7 tanks)
- thaw mysis - feed seahorses (2 tanks)
- thaw mush - feed breeders (9 tanks)
- thaw mush - feed QT (wash hands well)
- Make 2nd cup of coffee
- 7:40-12:00
- turn off ATO's on every system
- scrape bottoms and sides of all tanks (ALL tanks - clean QT last and wash hands)
- make 3rd cup of coffee
- vacuum each tank
- replace with new salt water (mixing new 60 gallon batches as needed)
- turn on ATO's
- replace micron filters with clean ones
- clean 5 skimmers
- Drink large glass of chocolate milk as a reward and make a quick lunch
- 12:00 - 1:00
- Sort any picassos/Snowcassos that are large enough to sell and video/upload to store
- Feed all fish again
- REST until 7pm when it will be time to feed the fish again
The fruits of your labor are quite amazing. Take a peak!
