That is what my tank looks like. The person at the fish store said it was perfect to raising baby frye and they have plenty of places to hide and survive. Any comments on my tannk? Do I need to just take everything out and start over???

I honestly do not know them. Hubby does that and he is not here. We did a 50% water change last night. The tank has been set up for 2 yrs, been about 6 months since we had did a water change.

these types of algae thrive in high nutrient water. if that's the case then you're not gonna be doing any breeding.
furthermore, in order to be a decent breeder for success you need to have good husbandry skills and be able to test and understand your water parameters.
I suggest focusing on learning your water chemistry. a little basic water chemistry can go a long way to a future for being able to breed your fish.

This looks like red gracillaria to me which is a good macroalgae.

good id whippet.
I was holding out. If they don't know what type of algae that is they definitely are not ready to breed fish. ;)
