Wow Tom, thats a really good point. I had never thought of that haha.

Can I just cut them at the base? I think that would work best IMO..

Ill do it when I get some good fraging tools :)

Hey Andrew, Thats it! I use a razor or something like that to skin it off the rock at the base trying to get as much of the skin on the rock as possible as it will grow back from that over time like Xenia. They can be out of water for a short time as you work them onto your new rock. Wear glasses and gloves these guys can be very dangerous when they want to be and I've had them shoot a stream all most a foot. Don't let this put you off just take the safety steps. Here are a few links that cover it. Have fun!

Here is the fragging kit I got, You can but additional pieces or individual parts as needed. I use mine for cleaning out Xenia more than anything else now but I did play with fragging other corals for a while just to know how to do it and get things I liked growing in more than one place in my tank. Have fun!

Just some updated pictures. Im starting to move things over from my 130., got my mushrooms, feather duster and my moon coral over.
Also got my chiller installed the other day. I am using the right side right (the lower one) to pump the water to the chiller and have the water coming right back into the tank from the right side nosel. Seems to work really well. Might just need a better one sooner then later. Keeping the temp around 79.

Thanks for the info on the fraging again. Ill check out all those links!

Thanks all.

I have to say that skimmer is a pain in the butt haha. One small turn and it over flows or does not bubble enough ahah. Just needs the right spot I guess.

How many people do not use the black foam in the left corner? Its a B***** to get out of that spot...If you removed it, what do u use now?

Great progress Andrew, diggin the scaping! I removed the sponges too, if you haven't got the time or patience like me to rinse them regularly they can get filthy and cause problems. Good luck!

Little update for you all.

I have started to move over my corals to the 250 this weekend. Also was able to frag my hammer coral in 2 so I have 2 nice pieces for each side of the tank. Also put my MP10 on reef crest at 60%

I will start to move the fish over later on in the week. Any tips for this?
The SG is a little low right now. About 120, so I am adding 5 gallons at 130 SG to help with that.

Im also really liking the blue look of this tank more then the old 130. Looks way better and the 8 LED blue lights really bring out the colors!
