Great news Richard. So are you planning to do less water changes in the future?

At the moment it has reduced it to none!! lol. but I think I will try and do a small monthly change so I can syphon out some of the rubbish from the back compartments.

The water changes will also help with trace elements, and keeping the Ca, Alk & Mg within normal parameters.

Richard - CA, Alk and MAG are major elements. There are minor elements that do not come with those. There are additives that have the minor/trace elements also needed. SeaChem Trace for example.

Yeap I realise that Eddie, the new additives also contain some of the trace elements.. :eek:lsmile:

Cheryl... we certainly do! He's my longest surviving fish.. had him since the tank was about 8 weeks old.. so about 14 months.. :eek:lsmile:
