I've been chatting with the owner,he only has the 24" and 36" models available right now but he can do a custom 48" as well...

he says the 24" fixture will cover a 24"x36" area of tank well and the 36" fixture will cover a 24"x48" area of tank well though....

I would need 4 of the 24" fixtures turned perpendicular to my tank, but I prefer 48" T5s...less bulbs to replace :D

Love the idea lets hope it lives up to everyones expectations. Shimmer and par of LEDs and color of T5 could be a winner.

definitely sounds like a win win...I'm thinking the illumination is gonna be excellent and the fixture itself looks well built and very nice.....

durability is what I wonder about,it has Cree LEDs but I'm curious about the quality of the LED drivers,T5 ballasts, and the micro processor that controls it all...

judging from the looks,I assume it is all quality built, only time will tell :D

The owner, Gus, is a very nice guy. I met him last week while helping a friend set up a tank. Personally, I don't see the need of the T-5s, but I can't deny that they'll make choosing the color of the lighting a LOT easier. I do feel obligated to say however that the EShine lighting company out of China had this idea first with the AquaWasher. Regardless, I can vouch for the quality of his lights; about 1/3 of Chicago's Reefers on Chicago's main forum use them. :D

he just assured me that the internals are all top notch components, these lights should provide years of trouble free service.....

I said it years ago that someone should do this, and if I ever do a DIY LED system,it will include T5s,I doubt mine will ever look this nice though :D he gets an A+++ from me for aesthetics LOL

Ok... I feel like a kid Christmas night after all the presents are open and just looking with amazement. Today Gus from Prestige-LED delivered my new T5-LED hybrid light and we installed it over my 92 gal corner bow.

The light is incredible. It looks great. It is built well....and it fits and lights my tank beautifully. Here are some pictures. I will provide more detail on the light in the coming days.

Light with T5s on and 50% on whites, blues and colors.

Light with T5s off and everything at 20% sunset.

I will need to play with positioning and tilt with the light to optimize spread and coverage. More to come!

Here the T5s are off as are most LEDs except two moonlights....and they are at 40%. The view is better and brighter in person....and then moon shimmer is hypnotizing. I have staring inside the tank and loving the new light. More to come!

Hey Matt!

I think this light rocks! The on board programmability is awesome. The colors are terrific. The fans are silent. Fit, finish and function...spot on. There are a couple of minor things that I am going to provide feedback on and I am sure Gus will quickly incorporate them.

From what I hear, he is going to have a 36" and 48" model. I am really thinking of putting a 36" model over my 72 bow front. The combination of T5 and LED is really nice and provides you with more color flexibility.

I can provide more of an update in the next few days. I have a local reefer stopping by tomorrow with par meter. I want to snag readings so I can compare as well as plan out placement.
