So, I just noticed this today, but does this look like Aiptasia in the middle of my torch coral? I have no idea how it got there. Since I'm a newbie I'm wanting to make sure I'm not just thinking something stupid before I blast it.

It could be several things. Can you get a few pictures from other angles etc?

Honestly it might be a Barnacle or something benign like that.

I had an Aip grow on the side of a Duncan and in the middle of a Goni too. That said, al could be right. That might not be an aip

i have those and they are not aips. they are harmless and dont bother anything. Its kind of like a worm and if you watch it will go in when it catches any food. I have one in the middle of my red torch and its been there for 4+ years and has not reproduced so I dont worry about it. I think I might have a pic of one. let me look and if i do i will post it
