Hi Steve, I have just ordered two from Coventry Aquatics, they were not sure if they were the new bulbs or not but the packaging has the red Sea max graphics on it and they have only just received the oder from RSM so presumably these are the new ones? Jack

I have the SPS already,and they havesome color although I'm sure it could be improved.. but the issue is more I was interested if the new bulbs, whilsgt being the same wattage were really measurably better or if it was just marketing crap..

I have read they are better too but not seen anyone who has actually measured this supposed improvement or been able to compare them with the old bulbs... anyone have direct experience of the difference? have yopur corals colored up more since you had the new bulbs?

Thanks guys, so it looks like it's worth going for the MC 500 then? As I said it will be quite a bit cheaper for me here in the Uk to get than the Euroreef and as long as it works significantly better then i'm sold. Just one thing, just how hard is it to remove the glass slides with water...

Are the 130D bulbs appreciably better than the one with the original RSM? I wondered if it's worth upgrading..

I use D+D H2O Ocean salt which apparently is the same as the Red Sea Max Pro stuff... I may go back to trying to use additives then.. which ones do you guys use? And what is the correct order?If I remember rightly first is to get KH to the right level, then Mg and last calcium? Thanks!

Guys, Need a bit of advice, I started dosing KH,MG and Calcium jsut beofre I moved to the RSM in my old 24G as tests showed all were lacking but things went a bit pear shaped and my torch coral ended up melting!! So now in the RSM I do a roughly 20% every week to try to keep up the levels...
