I recently purchased a pulsing xenia about a week ago. It did really well on the first 2 days but it was in a really awkward position. I decided to move it and it thrived for another day. For another 3 days it was completely closed up and was not pulsing! I decided to move it to a higher lightened area but that did no good. Has anyone got any tips or solutions? I should note I have very healthy zoanthids, mushroom corals and gorgolia, it's only the xenia struggling.
Here are my specs
Ammo: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0 ppm
pH: 8.3
Size: 25 litres/ 6 USG
Salinity: 1.025
For calcium I use trace element twice weekly.
I use RO ready salinated water from the local store. I run a skimmer/hang on the back filter combo and a small internal filter for circulation but no pump. Is this my problem? Thanks...
