my 82 gallon custom tank of 10 yrs was getting a little cramped,so i decided to upgrade to a 225 gal
in june i decided on a 225 gallon from miracles.
dimensions are 60" x 36" x 24"
external overflow on one side with 2x 1/2" drains
overflow teeth is removable for easy cleaning
one return
eurobraced
front is starfire glass
4" sandbed

On OCT 30th
i added petey to the sump to begin the cycling

just last week i added a background to the tank
the tank is almost done its cycling,nitrites are almost done

im really happy with the circulation im getting in the tank without powerheads

Looks great, I like those dimensions, I have a 250DD (same as yours only 27" tall) and I am always wishing it were a little shorter, to make it easier to work in.

i now use a step ladder, its a little ackward but i have access all the way around

Day 32
Finally the cycle is complete
i even tested nitrites twice,couldnt believe my eyes.

i added my perc and gladiator clown.
this is the big test .
i will leave petey in till all fish are added just to keep my load high.
lights will be kept off till after all fish are added.

time for a little update
all this week ive been adding fish and corals
today i put my last fish in and last coral in the tank
i also hung my second fixture today and installed the MP40
i now have 2-- 6 bulb ATI sunpower fixtures 12 bulbs in all
i still have to hookup the calcium reactor.kalk reactor and the auto top up
