What size uv steriliser would I need on a 240 ltr

I'd look at one in the 25-40w range. I used Emperor Aquatics and was very happy.

Save your money. I would not recommend a UV unit unless you have a very specific problem or issue to resolve. Even though there are some people that love them, I feel that in most reef systems, the use of UV is marginal at best. Keep in mind that it will also kill the good plankton that runs through it.
