T5 help

I was wondering what are the best t5 bulbs to get I have a 6 bulb 48” set up I got whit my system and I want to get some new bulbs since my colors seams to down from what they were a few months back. So my question is what brand would you get? What kind of set up would you get and where can I get the best price?

I dont know much about T5's but I see a lot of people using ATI bulbs. There are different ones, special, purple, blue etc that people combine to get the right color/look.

It really depends on what "Color/Scheme" you're shooting for. Some people like a more white look and some (like me) like a more blue look (deeper water look). One combination that I've seen one of our respect members here run (and it looks AMAZING and has amazing growth) is by Glenn (nanoreefing4fun) and here is what he's running (at the suggestion of George at ReefGeek > Aquarium Supplies for Marine, Reef, and Saltwater Aquariums

3 ATI B+

1 ATI 12k Aquablue

1 GE 6500K Daylight

1 ATI Purple Plus



For the bluer look, Replace the Aquablue with another ATI B+
