it is , its a mollie I use 2 or 3 in my tanks to control algae and hair algae. The first one is a lyre tail anthais

Yes they can live in saltwater once they are switched over, no problem

nowellsy snr once you get some ,mix them in water and sea water half and half for about 20 mins then next mix them in in almost pure sea water for another 20 minutes then you can put them straight in your tank. The are good algae eaters if you dont mind that they dont look very tropical
PS they have live babies but the other fish eat them up if you dont get them out right away

That's cool! I know of a few FW fish that can live in SW but I didn't know about mollies.
Reefmaster 3024 - When I first saw the mollie picture I thought it was taken in a FW tank, then saw the acro in the background. I've seen the SW acclimated mollies at my LFS a few times. Not a bad idea at all for algae control. Thanks for the acclimation procedure!
