Serpent/Brittle Star

Just recieved an online order and there was a hitch hiker star, not sure if it's a brittle or serpent. In any event, she lost one of her arms in transport... I found it as I was taking other frags out of the acclimation container. It appears to be moving all on it's own. Is this one of those cases that it will grow the rest of it's body if I put the arm in the tank as well? I know this sounds silly, but I know that sometimes happens.

If he is not sick & dropped his arm - just hurt in the move, he will regrow his arm.

Pretty sure with starfish... an arm can't grow into another starfish, or you would read articles about "fragging them "

I think he might be a brittle, but not 100% sure. Maybe some other member will know for sure ...

I think it's a brittle... one of the bazillion. =)
After looking at the snails on there, I think that the two teeny ones that originally came in are nerites. So those are good guys. I've only seen one of them since then.

I had one that lost his arm too. They grow it back very slowly.
