Time to make more RO. Here is how I make my water and mix the salt.

Well the system is going strong and I am enjoying some extra viewing time as I am preparing to break my system down and move it as we are closing on a house the 22nd. More to follow...

1) new trigger sump
2) new top off reservoir
3) possible stand and canopy paint job
4) new controller system
5) more flow coming to the tank
6) complete coral frag out
7) possible sand change
8) nerves breaking!!!

Here she is now

I skipped a few pages so IDK if you are still worried about/dealing with this. BUT! You can stop air bubble build up in overflows by installing a tom aqua lifter at the highest point in the tube. Be sure to use the pre-filter so the pump does not get clogged. This is a very small cheap pump that will give you peace of mind! It stops HOB overflows from stopping/loosing suction. I had it on my HOB overflow back in the days of my 29g. It will also start the overflow for you should you chose to stop it on purpose.

Thank you all! I am excited and terrified as I am finally buying a house again. This place is amazing and more than I ever thought possible. So the plan is complex, but when isn't it[emoji23]

1) Installing hardwood under the stand as the room currently has carpet
2) plastic dipping the stands insides to cover the damages and prevent more rusting
3) instal new sump
4) all new colored plumbing
5) additional flow in the display
6) new return pump that's controllable
7) controller display board

I am currently fragging my corals and giving a set of each to a friend in case my tank crashes. Also selling off the larger parts of the colonies as buyers come forward in the local area.

I have moved a couple of times, but this is the largest setup move I have done yet and the plum king is going to be huge stretch of my experience but I am taking a page from a fellow reefer:
1) adding two reactors, one of which will be a refugium
2) plumbing the reactors in line for the return
3) suspending the reactors above the sump
4) adding a show light and removing the refugium lights I have so far

Thank you all again and I wish you all happy reefing!!!

Hello again everyone, just got done reading this thread and really enjoyed all the feedback from yall. So in the spirit of keeping information available for others to find...

I have still avoided an Apex and will be going without for the foreseeable future.

I purchased a 5g RO reservoir to avoid messing with jug swaps.

I move this weekend and the tank will be following in the coming month or two. Lots to do, clean up and hope for when the time comes.

Happy reefing all!

Well this sucks. I can finally post but my draft is lost lol. Ok here we go again...

After a long month of slow moving, I finished the push last weekend. The house is amazing and the tank is finally moved. Thank you Jordan for helping me get it done. Here are some pictures and notes:
- I decided to keep the carpet after everything checked out for being level
- my MP40 decided to not work, so I will be working on that at some point
- all the fish have lived so far, been about a week
- rescaped the tank
- added a RO reservoir so I don't have to slide buckets in and out anymore
- holding off on the colored piping as finances drained quickly
- building an algae reactor
- purchased a media reactor and waiting to plumb them both in direct line
- replaced my home made sump for a trigger crystal series
- setup the new RO station, still waiting to buy my wall mount containers for the full station

And since we are all picture Wh***s, here you go

Well I am getting some signs of flow issues so I broke out the MP40 and tried hooking it up again. Still wouldn't work so I brought it to the store. Great customer service. They tried fixing it, swapping the control unit and then gave up. They returned it for full store credit and bought some frags off me. So I bought 15 more snails, a cucumber thing, a rock and a new ice cap gyro and walked out paying nothing. Good day.

Tomorrow brings a water change, gyro install and an adjustment to my rock scape. And treatment for the issues.
