Rsm 130d Moonlights Not Working

Hi,

The 4 blue moonlight LEDs are not working in my tank. I just bought it from someone who only had it 6 months.

Is this a common thing? Easy fix? Any solutions?

I believe this something many people have experienced.

We certainly did - my partner is an electrical lecturer so I can safely say knows what he is doing with wiring. Ours were replaced and evetually we just replaced the LEDS in the hood with a strip of moonlights and controlled them (and the main lights) with a separate digital timer.

I can tell you , It is not common...

but I run my rsm stock & many here know more than I about electrical side... having done many light mods...

If the tank is only six months old, remember it is warranted for one year... might contact RSM & see if they can help...

It wasn't a common problem with the 130 model, but it was fairly frequently an issue, usully showing up relatively soon after getting the tank. Pinky at Red Sea used to help with replacements, but being a 2nd hand tank you might have to buy them, Or do one of the other suggestions.
