Reef safe paint

Hi there,

Just wondering what paint is reef safe or if I can just use any paint? I need to paint some cable tidy's and my luminous green powerhead impellers!

Would a normal plastic car spraypaint from Halfords do the trick? :dunno:

And yes I am a big tart :snowski:

thanks,

James

I've used fusion for plastic (fully cured by 24 hours) to paint a couple of the wetside of magfloats. I painted them flat black so they would be less visible. It's been a year now and no problem I can tell. Ceriths, turbos, and now coraline don't seem to mind at all.

Thanks for the reply, that's not special marine paint looking at it, so I'm assuming i can just use anything to paint it with? :)

I have never painted anything that would go inside the water. I would try using Mike's brand since we now know he had no problems with it. Thanks for the info Mike

I've used the same as Mike MANY times inside my Reef Tank(s). One of them going on 3 years now. Once it's cured it's fine in fact one of the items is completely covered in Coraline algae.
