The male and female I have came from two different LFS. The male was very young and the female was much larger and already had a lot of black color.

Well what im saying is that we, the buyers may want two sources on two bloodlines... instead of taking two from just Doni.

If you are getting them for future breeding stock, yes, you should pair them up with fresh percula genes.
However, many/most buyers simply want two gorgeous clownfish

I don't think so. They were purchased at different LFS. The male was very young and the female was somewhat older (much larger with lots of black already).
