Rearing Picasso Percula Clownfish!

Correct Blake.
The male and female I have came from two different LFS. The male was very young and the female was much larger and already had a lot of black color.

Well what im saying is that we, the buyers may want two sources on two bloodlines... instead of taking two from just Doni.

If you are getting them for future breeding stock, yes, you should pair them up with fresh percula genes.
However, many/most buyers simply want two gorgeous clownfish :)

i saw that you said if you wanted to breed your stock that we would have to breed to a fresh percula gene? does it have to be another picasso or can it be a regular true?

I think after a few generations, weak fry, massive deformaties, etc. would appear. For more information about geneology type issues, please post your question on MOFIB forums: http://www.marinebreeder.org/phpbb/

Received my Doni Marie Picasso yesterday. Packed well, and arrived fine. Now, I know this may seem hard to believe, but my new clown "Spot", lol, is already hosting some pulsing xenia:

What's more, Spot has already picked up a new girlfriend:

All of this in less than 24 hrs! Thanks again Doni Marie.
