I can't believe what I have just witnessed. I have never purchased a brittle star period. I started my system with dry rock and sand. I did however introduce some corals from my old tank 3 years ago. The result was a population of brittle stars...small but there.
Tonight, after lights out and a water-change I witnessed a mass spawning of the OMG bigger brittle stars. I have seen them in the full view for the first time and they are ALL over. I'm gonna try to upload this video, so bear with me.
Ok , looks like mp4 not allowed. How can i upload?

PS... i could see sperm released all over, maybe eggs too...i don't know.
How about a snapshot.......

Great video. I caught one lonely brittle star a week ago releasing gametes (egg or sperm, not sure which). But, your stars are crazy!
