Hi all

Ok this may not be a problem but as a beginner i'm getting advice first before i make a mess of things lol. As you all probably know my fish are in a qt tank shaking off some ich (learning the hard way) so my DT is water, coral and cuc only. Just recently i have noticed that i am getting what look like air bubbles forming on some of my rock is this ok or is it a nasty algae producing some terrible noxious gas. I cannot see any difference between rocks with the bubbles on and rocks without so i'm a bit confused.

thanks:fishy:

sounds like you may have a "film algae" that's doing it's thang (photosynthesis) and producing air bubbles. I've seen this in ever tank I've got so it's usually no big deal. It's a "Cycle" and mine has always gone away on it's on.

I saw the same thing that BigAl mentioned in my tank when it was young. Nothing to worry about unless the bubbles are trapped in a slimy growth of some kind. It's just one of those things seen in a tank as it matures.
