Attached are some pictures of my RSM 250 set-up. As of this weekend, I can finally say that it's complete (but then again, never say never). Thanks to all of you that answered questions I had, and for letting me steal your designs. My success is a result of this forum. Like a lot of you, I started this adventure with little knowledge of what miscellaneous equipment I might also need to ensure success and make life easier. Therefore, here's a list of those items that may help other beginners who have the same question:
Kent Marine Deluxe Hi-S Maxxima 60 GPD RO/DI System
Marine Depot Aquarium Refractometer
Rainbow Lifegard Big Digital Temperature Alert Thermometer
Pocket TDS Mini Meter
Red Sea Coral Pro Salt Mix
Red Sea Success Reef Base Substrate
Fiji Live Rock (90 lbs)
Boyd Chemi Pure Elite
JBJ Arctica Titanium Chiller DBE-200 1/4HP
JBJ Automatic Top Off (A.T.O.) System Water Level Controller
VorTech Propeller MP40
Maxi-Jet 1200 Powerhead / MP 1200 (for ATO return)
LifeReef Nano-Prefilter for Red Sea Max
LifeReef Model A Sump (16x16x14); MagDrive 9 pump for return
LifeReef SVS2-24 In-Sump Skimmer with MagDrive 9 pump
Since my cycle completed, other than my CUC, I've only added 4 small fish - two clowns and two damsels. I've stayed the course by taking things slow and it seems to have paid off so far. I'll continue to add to this post as I add more fish and/or equipment.
