Yea,, Corals r killing it!!! I put NO aditives in. Just weird I thought. Traits, Trites and ammonia are all at 0.

My magnesium is always high too, I've never dosed, just do water changes. I can shut my eyes and another zoa polyp has grown before I open them. A blessing and a curse. I've read several theories that the soft corals and zoa/palys like a higher mag level.

Check your mix.....probably coming from there. MG seems to stay pretty stable in most tanks and that level is usually set by the salt itself. As John mention, not a problem. Mine stays just under 1300 all the time, I stopped checking weekly and went to monthly, same result!

Raising mg to 1900 for a couple of weeks is a common bryopsis treatment I've done with no ill effects on sps or fish.

High MAg is not a problem by far I need to have mine that high because of the clams and the mounds of xenia I have in the tank. I would not stress to much
