Frag the dead part off and discard. Put the live part half way up in the tank and a week later, up high. It will die sitting on the sand bed.

it doesnt look like rtn or stn because that usually starts at the base.cut off the dead area and put it in a higher flow area.it looks like its browned out from not enough light also so give it more light too.overall,it doesnt look all that bad yet.good luck with it.

Suggestions on tools around the house to lop off the dead top portion?

fingers will usually work but some scissors should break it too.

Adding a MP40 today, im setting the pin spacer at 3/8 is that the best for the 250?

Thanks Glenn! Any idea on the spacer? Im going with 3/8 since it seems the glass is 1/3 thick and its either 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 in that range

That is a weird mass! It doesn't look like tunicates I've had or seen, unless it's one of the colonial tunicates. Hopefully you'll get some possible IDs. Till then it'll be an

It's 3/8" to work on the 250 10mm glass. Have fun with it, try all the patterns!
