Favia Coral

I was checking out JJ's catalogue and saw Favia corals-They seem pretty appealing and i read up on them briefly. I got the impression that they're fairly easy-to-care-for corals (beginner corals) can anyone elaborate on this or give personal experience with them?

Most favias are easy to grow. You should start with an easy christmas favia. As long as your lighting is good enough to handle lps and your water params are in check you shouldnt have any worries.

Agreed. They will bleach under too much light but JJs stuff has been kept in tanks for awhile so it adjusts easy. If u have questions feel free to post on his thread. He's a great guy n will not lead u wrong.

yeah... LiveAquaria is good no doubt, but JJ has the Galleria of Reefery!

Just keep the favia away from other corals. They have pretty long sweeper tentacles that will sting and damage other corals.

OMG the gallery of Reefery lives! I've still got it on my facebook as well.

Everybody is right, medium lighting, good water, and favias will thrive.
