Hello,
My tank now has a brown algae like growth on the sand. It is making its way onto the sides of the tank as well, but very lightly there. I guess it looks kinda like a dusting of rust. I think its diatoms. Nitrates remained at 20, they never really came down. Ammonia and nitrites 0. Went out last weekend and got 2 snails and 3 scarlet hermits - they are all doing well but in my opinion they brought this problem with them. . . .(maybe I shouldn't have done that h: )
Should I vacuum the substrate or leave it alone? Any suggestions?
Thanks
