I picked this up for $45 from a local reefer tearing down his tanks to move. He called it a hairy mushroom, but i wanted another opinion. Did i get screwed?
When full extended its about 12 inches across, and it has little white tentacles that come from what appears to be a mouth.

Actually that is quite a bit to spend on a mushroom. Heads up - they don't like very much light. Too much light and it will get much smaller. If you have a "clean tank" you'll need to feed it a couple times a week.

Found a similar pic, labeled Giant Cup Mushroom aka Elephant ear. The distinct leathery edge doesnt match what i've seen of typical Hairy Mushrooms. Any suggestions would be helpful. I still wana know if i got screwed LOL.
