You know you are obsessed when your AC goes out, you are impatiently waiting for the tech to show up, they call and say they are having a problem with a cell tower overheating and it will another couple of hours. Obsession starts when you want to tell the lady who the Heck cares about the cell tower my Saltwater aquarium is sitting at an uncomfortable 85 degrees.

Borrow a generator ASAP if you can and run a cooler.

You should worry about it too much... My last power outage was a day and a half and I only run a battery air pump for few hours.
Nobody was hurt or killed.

my tank runs 86 in the summer and i never lost anything due to heat

GrendelPrime that is good news. AC fixed new motor and condensor house cooling down nicely. Tank still pretty warm. I've been floating ice cubes and some icepack (sealed in bags) in the tank. Hopefully it will start coming down once the sun starts to set.
