RO/DI FIrst things first,
as said its like the primary ingredent, thats like makeing cake with out eggs.
with that money you could get your self a ROdi (stage 5 from filterguyz.) a heater, a theremometer a power head a contairor (from taget 20$) and have your self something really usefull...
this will probly bring the greatest change in the way your tank looks.
after you have that i would get a better skimmer, unless that one works for you. if thats the case, IMO
Rodi would be a shy 3rd in the race for most importent. 1 being salinty, 2 being temp, 3's a tie up for RODi or salt brand to mix with rodi (witch also comes in to play with the refractometer battle in 5th )
