No big deal, they are sharp to the touch if I remeber right.

Yeah they aren't really "harmful" but if nutrients in the water column are high and they multiply they can be a pain (literally) when messing around with your liverock. Also they can irritate some soft corals whose tentacles could be brushing against it (aka frogspawn).
