What types of corals could I keep with this light?

I have a 29 gallon tall tank (17-18" tall I believe) with 50 pounds of live rock that has been running for about a year. What types of corals do you think I could keep with this light on the 29?

How wide is this tank? I'm assuming its a 30 incher.

If you keep SPS high in the tank, you should be able to keep them and anything else.

It is indeed the 30" tank and thanks for the quick reply! May do SPS, but I really like the looks of LPS and softies more.

I wouldn't try special in a 4 bulb tank. But I'd give the others a whirl

I did fine in a 10 gallon, so high in this tank, he should be ok.

4 bulb quality light fixture over a 18" tall tank? 29 gallon tank with 96 watts...


ive seen pretty much everything grow in that type of enviornment, and lots grow in even worse. Its a nice fixture! I bet with decent bulbs you could easily grow most SPS pretty much anywhere in there, mid tank or higher.

Yeah with good bulbs you're golden. Softies and LPS no problem, you should be able to get away with SPS higher in the tank as well.
