Just thought I would drop in to recommend a product I used this week guys. I introduced some new sand to the bed in the tank and BOOM- cyano everywhere (water quality it's usual tip top self- the fluidised reactor with biobeads still amazes me at getting zero nitrate and phosphate reading, but I digress).
I was struggling- this stuff was everywhere- so I did some reserach on the net and purchased Ultralife RED SLIME remover - Cyano Algae killer.
1 treatment- 48h- cyano is gone. No noticeable effect on corals (soft or hard) or fish at all!
No removal of any media (inc active carbon).
Skimmer went nuts (and still is) but that's no bad thing.
HIGHLY recommended for those of you in a similar boat- but are confident that the underlying water quality is not your main issue (test test test guys)....
