Tube like thing..

This started growing on an old Cerith's shell, and is getting bigger.. Any ideas??

Can't really tell from your picture, do they look like any of these? Mine are sponges. I've never been able to find anything more about them. But, once they start growing they are like weeds. Good luck!

Its a type of macro algae but I cant remember the name of it ATM...

The pores indicate sponge to me. I've been Google searching sponges and found this one. Maybe it's some species of Clathrina sponge. There appear to be many species of these, and not all look the same. I got the impression from some Clathrina sp. pictures that they can form pretty dense mats:

White Sponge, Clathrina sp.

Just a possibility - there must be a zillion types of sponges!

Sorry Tom, My post was directed toward the thread starter and not your pics. I should have quoted him, my fault... Your pics are definitely not macro algae and alot like Terry's ID link and is for sure a type of sponge.

Eddie - concerning the original posed pic, were you thinking of Dictyota algae? It could be that:
