Saltwater Questions

I have some leftover premixed saltwater that's a week old. I have been told in the past that I shouldn't let the SW sit for longer than 24 hours before you use it. my LFS is closed today and I have been away on business. My tank needs a water change ASAP and I was thinking of using the premixed SW that I have. Is there anything wrong with using this water if it passes the testing and salinity?

If it is like the premix they sell around here it sits on shelves for a long time so I would say go ahead and use it. As long as it has been sealed up and the SG is good. Shaun

Well that's exactly what I was thinking but I did get this from my LFS. According to their instructions, If the water is uncircumcised then it turns bad for some reason. I'd like to know the reason to be honest.

unless it smells funny it should be fine. I mix my water 50 gals at a time and only use 25 per change. So half sits til I have to do another change.
