RSM250 skimmer removal

When I originally put my RSM250 together the skimmer body was placed in position before the hood was attached. I now find I need to remove the skimmer to get at the pump. Can the skimmer be removed with the hood in place?

Yes - just unplug & pull straight up - I remove mine for cleaning the pumps every few months

Thanks for the response. I've now been able to remove the skimmer, identify the problem and correct it (new impeller required).
