I have red stuff all over the one side of my live rock my tank has been running 8 days using colony

It's hard to tell with out a pict, but my first guess would be cyano, especially in a new tank.

to RS ! Post us a pic & tell us if you took a turkey baster, can you blow it off? If so, +1 on Cyano... almost all new tanks get some... no big deal tell us more about your tank
