  • A) Increase amount and frequency of Water Change
  • B) Review water source (RO/DI is not already.. if you are RO/DI test TDS of final water
  • C) Review feeding amount, type and frequency
  • D) Review Stocking on tank
  • E) Increase flow
  • F) Daily "manual removal"

What are your current test results (like from today if possible)

I would use some type of brush to remove it and get the majority of it out by hand (you can use a vac if you want) the filters should get the rest. If its on the glass use a razor blade to get it off. Hope this helps...

It depends on the type of red algae.
Red slime is considered not good but if you happen to have red corraline then that is good.
Red slime is just that, slimey. It can be most anywhere in the tank.
One thing Al forgot is to rinse your food in RO/DI before feeding. Phosphates are used as a preservative but are also algae fuel.
