I moved my green slimer this week as it was getting close to being impacted by my purple cap which is growing at a much faster rate. While trying to remove it from the plg so I could mount it to the rock, I broke off two small pieces that appeared to be where it was trying to encrust, but since it was elevated on the plug, they were not on the rock. I guess they looked similar to a monti cap just hanging off the side on the slimer. I mounted those to plugs, but I am wondering if they will start to branch or if they will become more on an encrusting type since they are more or less flat pieces.
