Protein Skimmer Upgrade. RSM250

I am planning to change my protein skimmer in my RSM250 from the stock skimmer to a Deltec mce500.

But.... I've been reading mixed reports from the forum about the Deltec mce500.

Some threads I have seen say the mce500,

Doesn't heat the tank up as much as the stock skimmer.

It's not as noisy as the stock skimmer.

It's nosier than the stock skimmer.

It's more efficient than the stock skimmer.

Can anyone give me any advice before I splash the cash?

I use stock with magnificent results with very high bioload. Use the money to buy a 1/10 chiller or some vortex powerheads.
