anyone use the cabinet vent kit? i just ordered one but not sure where/how to install..any pics or info will be well received!

Hey guys. I just ordered a Stevie T media rack for my RSM 250. I was gonna grow chaeto on one of the floors but trying to figure out how to provide light...does anybody know if paint can be scraped off the back in order to allow a magnetic light to shine thru? Also any media suggestions for the rack would be well received...Im thinking chaeto on bottom, then purigen, then chemipure elite, then phosban, then filter floss...what say you?

Thinking about getting an RO/di unit...any thoughts out there? i use about 10-15 gallons per month..not sure which brand...also do i need a plumber to install? and how often do you have to change out any necessary filters..does cost outweigh benefits? thanks in advance!
