That's great. Hopefully they are successful in raising them. So far all attempts have been met with dismal results.

I would have to say that sea dragons are by far my favorite fish.
I didn't realize how many different kinds there are!

What was the one that looked less frilly then?
I found the weedy, then one for a lettuce leafy, but one of the youtube vids from Japan had a really simple looking kind with only like 4 branches.
?

Weedies are less frilly. Got a link to the Youtube one from Japan?

2nd two are both leafies and first is a weedy. They can have different amount of appendages within the same species depending on where they are found. The more "weedy" their environment, the more appendages they can have to blend in. Camouflage is their only means of defense.

Those are the only 2 species and both happen to be found in Australia.
