Please help my Seahorse :(

I agree...I was just trying to add my .02 I am sure Ponygirl knows what shes doing and I feel for the sick horse. Its never fun to watch one of your friends suffer. I hope the horse gets well!

I rang the place that my seahorse was at yesterday and he told me she had died :( But there was just nothing that could be done unfortunately. And as she was not eating from the moment i got her home (unlike the male) it was most likely caused by the water at the lfs (as they were moving shops its quite possible they just let their water go a little too far :( )
MY MISTAKE, i didnt get the lfs to show me her feeding :( ill never make that mistake again. The place where she was raised is sending me another one to replace her as they dont believe it was my fault either. Doesnt make up for losing her but at least people care :)
I know im not an "experienced" sw keeper but in all honesty we all start somewhere, and its not like i jumped into it. I spent over a thousand on the tank setup alone (which in aussie money is alot!) And it was all ordered through the marine specialist who has been teaching me everything i need to know. These horses arnt just my decorations... i am genuinely obsessed with them. And by saying- return them to the store, i think thats dooming them more then anything as most of the seahorses that get sold over here are to people who REALLY dont know what their doing and who get sick of feeding them twice a day, changing the water weekly, and monitoring water quality and mostly people who have been misinformed about the true upkeep. Maybe in your country things are different... the LFS's might educate people about whats involved, but here its basically fend for yourself. Not very many people know about seahorses at all unfortunately, and for the amount that are contantly being sold... i cant seem to find anybody with real experience with them... so im guessing most live very short miserable llives :(

Forestal, i will try and post some pics, the pipefish is really hard to photograph tho because he is like a little dolphin, cant keep him still for long... and when he is holding still he is usually looking directly at the camera (i think he "owns" the tank so gets defensive about the little red light blinking at him)
but ill get him... sooner or later :)

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is always hard, sounds like you did everything you could to save her. LFS in the U.S. aren't much better at educating buyers. They just want the money.

sorry to here about the horse I hope they can replace you with a healthier one. Its sad to hear you say theres no help in your trade. It can really benefit the world if there was just a little more education out there.

sometimes no matter what u do animals die..and i think its great that u tried to do everything you could to save the pony..theres always gonna be people that will slam u no matter what u try to do so keep ur chin up and take the experience and learn from it and pass on to the next person what u have learned
