It depends on the TYPE of fish, health of fish, and age of fish.

a very "general" rule of thumb (conservative) is 1" of ADULT sized fish per 5g of tank volume.

I have a True Perc, Long nosed hawkfish, Bangaii Cardinal and 2 purple firefish in my 2 year old RSM130D

It also depends on what corals you want to keep in your tank, the more sensitive (sps) the less fish you'll want to keep as you want to keep the bioload to a min

I'm aiming for an sps dominated tank (don't have it yet) and I'm only planning on keep 3 or 4 small fish at utmost.

Probably going to be a algae (lawnmower) blenny or a goby-shrimp combo, a mandarin (maybe a pair) and one or two undecideds

Hope this helps
