new tank! no planning...

just purchased a 10" ~5 gallons (i guess) hex...

just put some sand in and am beginning to fill it with water.

kinda a sput of the minute project so i dont have a plan or a filter on it yet...my hang on the back aqueon doesnt fit and i dont want to spend alot of $ right now (gotta wait for my next paycheck iv got a marineland canister filter for ~60 gallons that i used on my old 40 gallon breeder

is that gonna completely overpower the tank? can i put a restrictor on the output to mellow it down?

ideas would be greatly appreciated!

There should be a way to mellow it down for use. I've seen people downgrade an AC70 for low flow.

Go with a rectangle tank that you can find equipment for.

Those are cute for Betta's and other non messy fish, like guppies...but SW will be tough, since 99% of equipment is designed for rectangular tanks.
