Was asking around and no 1 had a good answer. Why wouldnt our chronicles be under our pic in our profile, userCP or anywhere our pic is? Every time I want to post in my own C I have to track down a post I made the other day or whatever. I just thought it would be nice to have your own chronical handy and easy to update. A few reefers at the MACNA this year told me who to ask to change it but,, well,,, I was a little lubercated and have no idea whao they told me, lol. But it would be much more convenient

I just subscribed to my own thread so all I have to do is the following:

Find a thread you like and at the top of the screen, goto Thread Tools ---> Subscribe to this Thread
sub to thread.jpg

Click on the Add Subscription button
sub to thread 2.jpg

At the top of the screen, click on Quick Links ---> Subscribed Threads
sub to thread 3.jpg

And there's your list!
sub to thread 4.jpg

So, everyday I just click on Quick Links ---> Subscribed Threads to see the links I'm following and I can get to my own thread in two clicks!

Hi Kyle,

Not sure I am following... maybe you or someone can help me understand the question better & we will get Travis to address.

Members currently... setup "Reef Chronicle: Click Here"

using this "how to" written by Travis... http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums...77569-link-your-chronicle-all-your-posts.html

or are you just asking about location to where you go to set it up once, under My Settings... Travis would have to answer this... I think that might be a vBulletin software option Travis turned on & the forum software developers coded in vBulletin that runs our forum.

No, im asking is there a better way to get to my own chron besides searching for a past post from myself to click on the chronicle under my name. Why wouldnt it also have a spot to my chronical in my profile page or some place easier than looking for a previous post? Mayja has a good idea, but it would be eaiser if it were just under our name on our home/profile page like it is when we post. (I hope im explaining it right)

Will see what Travis thinks...

If he were to add a new "button" to the button bar or to a drop down under it, what would it be labeled? My Reef Chronicle?

Would it do nothing, when clicked on, until a new member sets it up? (if they set it up)

............... try this to quickly find your post and your reef chronicle .... when you sign in or go to RS (already signed in) at the top of any page, right next to the text Welcome, click on your RS screen name, then select, Find latest posts, if you are updating your reef chronicle frequently, you should get a hit.

what I do... is from the search box at the top of every page, I enter "Glenn's" and it takes me to mine  quickly.

Maybe Travis will have some more ideas :)

Hope something here helps !

Here's something interesting. If you select "My Profile" on the left hand side there is a link you can click called "My home Page". I edited my profile so that "My home page" was the link to my Reef Chronicle, but when I click the My Home Page button, it takes me to this page http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/forum.php

I understand all this, however, wouldnt it be nice to just click a button under your name and go to it from your/the home page,, like you can on a posting? I just think it would be a given that you can get to your chron with out having to dig 4 it or setting up links attached to your page or whatever. not a big deal, just an improvement I thought would be nice, especially 4 new members,, It use to drive me nuts looking 4 my chron to update.
