Need suggestions on cleaning sump hoses

My flow is lagging. Doing a complete tank clean today and my hoses are gunked up pretty bad. I have the sump hoses sitting in a bucket of hot water. How do you guys clean your hoses out to make them look new again? I don't have anyhting to get up in them.

I soak everything in a heavy solution of Vinegar & Water. After a couple of hours most of the "Hose Goop" washes right out.

I'll try that next time. I rigged up something with a coat hanger and the brush that came with my Tunze skimmer. Got most of it except for the hard coralline. Shes a rockin' now. I think its funny that the better the overflow works the more noise there is.

I don't remember what it's called but two little fishes makes a magnet cleaner specifically for hoses. It might be worth checking out.
