For any size tank, first figure out what you are going to keep in it. Also, with a nano, there are going to be limitations since a lot of expensive equipment isn't cost justified. Done properly, a nano can be a real gem.

Hi Ken - Welcome back to RS, good to see you getting back in the game ! Be sure to start a new tank thread when you get going so we can follow along

What size nano tank were you considering? Love the RSM 34 gallon tanks...

but if you were thinking smaller... take a look at this thread & John's 16g Innovative Nuvo Marine

A standard 20 gallon tank is fairly easy to set up. Maybe link together two of the 24" Aquaticlife T5 fixtures, and you could keep pretty much anything that you wanted in the tank. If you prefer LED, you might want to look into some of the Reefbreeders fixtures as well. As far as power heads and a heater go, there's a lot of different brands on the market that will work, so it's basically your choice. Also, for a tank this size, adding a sump or running a skimmer is optional. KISS, GL.
