I won a 12gal JBJ Nano with stand at a raffle ... i really didn't need or want another tank ... but my little girl wanted it ... and i won it .... joy?

well just got it setup for her (she's 8yo) and letting it cycle ... i put an oceanic skimmer rated for 14 to 24 gal in it ... a small heater ... and a bunch of rubble from my other two tanks sumps ... she is so stoked by it just buncing around it non-stop ... here is a pic of it

yeah ... small cleaning crew first .... then what ever ... she likes firefish and zoa's, both work fine with this size tank.
maybe a skunk or a coral banded shrimp
she's been around my tanks and knows the run down on copper(pennies,etc..)

What a very nice start! Sounds like you have a great plan.
I bet she is very very excited to have her own tank.

Sweet Edd! Just don't expect to much or push your child and all will be well. Remember, 8 years old! ;)
Mine did not do well with a nano reef and went freshwater. Good luck!

Way cool Ed!

Your Daughter has done a great job with the tank!

Looks real nice! Are you letting her scape it?

actully yeah for the most part (I gave stack advice "no, the big rock on the bottom")... she insited on the little tonga bridge for the hermits to cross ... even though it gets knocked over from time to time :)
