So I stopped by my friends whole sale LFS. She was telling me her boy friend who is a shrimper brought her some sea horses. I take a look and 3 are missing there tails and she said I cant sell those and did not know what to do with them and offered them to me. Well I do have a small biocube with no fish in it. So she gives them to me and I get them home and into the tank. I did not think they were going to well because they like to hold on to every thing with there tail. Its been 4 days and so far all is well. I have kept sea horses in the past and used to breed them so I know the basics about them. But has anyone kept one alive missing there tails? I believe there tails were ripped off but I dont know. The ends look healed so I am confused. i would think they would be open sores if it happened wile netting. They get around fine. I will keep this updated as time goes by.
