my 1.5 year old tank. You can tell its a beginner tank by the presence of xenia and GSP's. I am thinking about making major changes to it, including removing most of the softies and adding more LPS (and dare i say it, maybe an SPS or 2).

quick video showing its current progress. Comments and tips are welcomed!

Looks like you have a good tank setup. I see nothing wrong with adding more corals. At this point, it's more a question of giving the your existing corals and related items time to grow out, so it looks like it's part of a coral reef and always been there, and not frags placed on the live rock.

Don't be in too much of a rush to dump your soft corals. They also have a lot to offer. You may have to prune back some of the GSP or xenia, but that's ok. Usually you you can find plenty of people that want it.

Very pretty tank - well done ! I too made the beginner mistake of adding xenia to my 1st tank, never again, when I upgraded to my 2nd tank, I gave away $400 of tonga branch LR to leave this weed behind ;) Love lps & soft corals :)

I personally love the Xenia, as it adds so much movement and life to something that would otherwise be mostly stationary or just flow with the water. But that's just me I guess. I also like how your Tuxedo Urchin was trying to disguise himself. ;)
