I got some macro algae today, I don't remember the name of it. Thick green stuff. I can post a pic if needed.

Before I put this in my DT I need to know, does it need space or can I cram it in a corner? I don't really want it in the front of tank.

Update: I remember now its cheato!

I just saw your update, its chaeto. Chaeto is normally kept in a refugium though it can be kept in a DT. It will grow fast and require pruning, which is a good thing since the pruning helps remove Nitrates from the water. You can put it in a corner, but it will need light to grow.

Chaeto {ka-toe} which is short for Chaetomorpha is usually not a "Display" type of Macro Algae. More often than not it's housed in a refugium (fuge) where it can be somewhat contained and easily trimmed. It needs light and grows better if placed where is can "tumble". Without being moved the bottom section will die from light starvation and become white and stringy.

Here's some information on it
